It may not be the most catchy. It may not be the most popular. It's most definitely not his best work. But GrooGrux, as an album, deals with several issues. Some of them are familiar and comfortable. Dave's still a perv, for instance. Check out "Why I Am, " for instance. Dave likes a couple of things with his coffee. He'd rather do something else. Other themes pop up. Like death. And humanity, its past and its future at its most basic level. This is where "Squirm" comes in. It's Dave at his angriest, his loudest and his most honest. This is why true music fans like Dave. This is why GrooGrux King should fly across your speakers at least once.
OK. Enough talking. Start listening.
I've listened to it at least 20 times. I can't wait for the next 20. Also, all white russians should be skaken and not stirred, despite popular belief.
