What a cool/douchey idea!

Man makes over $80k this year by wearing tee shirts. And posting pics of himself wearing tee shirts.

And posting movies of himself wearing tee shirts.

And blogging about himself wearing tee shirts. And tweeting about it. And facebooking it. What a douche. What a damned smart douche.

Two Documentaries About Art and Industry

Art & Copy is a new documentary about creativity and ideas in advertising, featuring some of the most influential creatives in the business. While probably none of you will be as excited about this film as I am, I thought it'd be interesting to post about seeing as everyone of us is exposed to thousands of ads every single day. For those of you in the Lou, a screening is available this weekend only, giving you an opportunity to not only see an awesome film, but also to rub it in my face that you were able to see it before me. See more Art & Copying HERE.

An older and music-related recommendation is DIG! For anyone that hasn't seen or heard of this, it's a film about The Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Dandy Warhols - specifically the lead singers of both bands - whose friendship fades over differences in opinion about creativity and corporate success. Worth Netflixing sometime.

This is not America.

Saw this on AGENCYSPY today. Wow. Three decades apart. Two refreshing beverages. One way to sell. It never gets old. But it certainly has gotten just a bit more lewd. Crazy Europeans. It being Obama's sixth month in office, I wonder how much the FCC's policies will change over the next 3.5 years, especially since they've tightened up so much during the Bush administration.

Is there anything money can't buy?

Luxury Yacht Offers Pirate Hunting Cruises

"Wealthy punters pay £3,500 per day to patrol the most dangerous waters in the world hoping to be attacked by raiders.

When attacked, they retaliate with grenade launchers, machine guns and rocket launchers, reports Austrian business paper Wirtschaftsblatt."

Wild stuff.  But check this out.

I know I've said it before, so I won't say it again.

Brilliant Commercial

So I decided to watch my favorite commercial again this afternoon and thought y'all might find it interesting. All the imagery was achieved using photron cameras that shot the scenes at 10,000 frames per second. And it appears as though they casted Luke Skywalker to get hit in the face. Pretty cool.

And if you enjoy the song, it's by the CINEMATIC ORCHESTRA.

Some Good Music

Can be found here: http://radio.wk.com/. It's an internet radio station created by an ad agency in Portland. Lots of 'underground' stuff and tunes from around the world. Stick it in your ear holes.
