To whomever cares to join the discussion:

I have a question. Probably geared more towards rusty, but here it is nonetheless. How do medical marijuana laws balance with workplace drug policy? I was just curious if you guys have heard about any cases involving the like. Thanks for reading.

  1. This article from the Baltimore Sun talks about the possible conflict in Michigan in particular where no one has yet filed a lawsuit for being fired for marijuana use.

  2. Earlier in the year, Montana threw out a case of a guy who was fired for testing positive for marijuana. This article explains the decision. So, if you live in Montana, the law does not prevent you from being fired for smoking medical marijuana.
